Italian fitted kitchen manufacturer Salvarani struck gold when they brought 1964 Tour de l'Avenir winner Felice Gimondi into the pro ranks in 1965.
Gimondi stayed with Salvarani for eight seasons, winning the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, Italian championship and Paris-Roubaix, becoming a prolific winner with 99 pro victories while lad in the "azzuro chiaro" kit of Salvarani.
